Carpenders Park Church is committed to ensuring a safer church for everyone.
We understand that both children and adults can be victims of abuse. We recognise that working to prevent abuse by good practice and accountability in our work is important, and so will respond appropriately to allegations, suspicions or disclosures of abuse, following statutory guidance on reporting.
All leaders and those who work with children or vulnerable adults have undergone safeguarding training, have committed to follow the procedures of our safeguarding policy, and have been DBS checked.
We are committed to developing a culture of awareness of safeguarding issues within all church activities, and to consistently ensure good practice in our activities. We are also committed to providing appropriate support for those affected by abuse, as well as an appropriate response to those known to pose a risk to others.
Our full safeguarding policy is available on request. If you would like a copy, or you wish to raise any safeguarding concern connected to the church, please contact our safeguarding co-ordinator, Margaret Sims via firstname.lastname@example.org , or our deputy safeguarding co-ordinator Bryan Jukes at email@example.com
